The wedding attire is formal, what does that mean?

Look your best! Suits and dresses below the knees, and if you can fit florals into your attire that is definitely encouraged!

The welcome party is cocktail attire, I don’t know what that means either!

For the welcome party we’re really just looking for everyone to look nice. No need to wear a full suit but you definitely can if you want. Dresses, blazers, button down shirt, nice pants, polos are all great options. Overall, think of what you’d wear out to a fancy restaurant and you’ll look great!

What is the parking situation for the wedding?

VanLandingham Estate will have some free parking available in their parking lot. There is also street parking right next to the venue that you are free to use.

Are children allowed at the ceremony and reception?

We are so excited to celebrate with all of you! However, we kindly ask that only those named on your invitation attend.

Is there a hotel block?

Generally we are recommending that guests find an Airbnb close to the venue since there are not many hotel options new the Plaza Midwood neighborhood of Charlotte. Due to this we will not be having an official hotel block, but we have listed some great lodging options here for! And don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions on where to stay, we want you to have the best time in Charlotte!

Will there be transportation provided to the wedding?

Because we’re not recommending a single location for all guests to stay, we will not be providing a shuttle for our wedding day. Uber and Lyft are readily available around the Charlotte area.
